To continue our projects and services, Volunteer Tibet needs your help.
We currently receive no outside funding and rely completely on the kind donations of our volunteers, friends and family. All donations go directly back into the community and provide a stable income for local Tibetan residents. A small donation can go a long way in India, so any amount is very appreciated. A great way to support us is to sign up for our Orientation service or to help raise awareness of Tibet by holding a small fundraiser with friends and family back home. Please contact us for tips and creative ways to raise awareness.
Part of the donations also go into our office, classrooms, and utilities.
Newcomer Education Centre for Tibetans in Exile Sponsorship & Donation Programme
The Newcomer Education Centre, coordinated by Volunteer Tibet, offers language courses to new incoming Tibetans allowing them to have better qualifications and therefore a brighter future in exile.
We need funds to cover the expenses of running the school and accomodation for Tibetan students.
How can you help?
Sponsor a classroom: 100 €
Your generous donation will cover one month expenses of rent of a classroom where all classes take place five days in a week, from Monday to Friday.
Sponsor a Tibetan student: 1O €
Your kind donation will cover one month expenses of accomodation and boarding of a Newcomer Education Centre student.
Donate classroom materials
We appreciate donation of classroom materials such as markers, notebooks, English grammar books and vocabulary books (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced), French and German language books (Beginner and Intermediate level).
